Crew Coordinator

A leading international player in marine services, our client company offers to the most demanding oil & gas clients worldwide a full line of innovative, safe, high performance and new generation vessels and an expanded offer of offshore oil & gas services.


 


Duties & Responsibilities


 You will ensure assignment of crew complement qualifying regulations and requirements as well as smooth and timely deployment to vessels.


In order to achieve this, you will:


Plan crew complement and coordinate crew changes and ensure planned joiners comply with the Company’s, Client’s, flag’s requirements with consideration to National and International applicable regulations;


Ensure that crew change is planned with consideration to the Company’s instructions and performed with most cost efficient options;


Control and validate invoices related to crewing matters (training, visa, travels, …);


Solves issues related to crewing and support Crew’s motivation through frequent and personalized communication;


Ensure that  Offshore personnel evaluations are carried out and recorded, identify training needs and promote high performers to management;


Generate Employment Agreement and termination letters of employment with consideration with Offshore Personnel employment contracts terms;


Record pay elements and information related to Crew insurance ;


Ensure that Crew complement have full data (activities and documentation) valid, checked and updated in OCS and databases and ensure Crew complement hold flag documentation;


Enroll Crew to training courses as per client requirements and training plan;


Support and/or replace Fleet Crew Assistant for Seafarers’ logistics and administration when needed;


Support implementation of processes, tools and best practices; 


Responsible for preparing reports to management or as per client requirements.


The Crew Coordinator is linked functionally to the Crew Supervisor.


 


Profile:


You have a University degree;


You have at least 4/5 years’ experience in administration and travel arrangements. Knowledge of marine industry and/or oil and gas industry will be a plus (STCW, MLC 2006, crew changes, flags, etc.);


You are extremely organized, able to manage priorities and have strong attention to details;


You are dynamic and polyvalent and you have excellent communication, leadership and customer-service skills;


You are able to work on multiple projects at the same time and to think and coordinate quickly under pressure and meet deadlines;


You must be willing to work autonomously and be comfortable working in a multi-cultural environment;


You have a good knowledge of MS Office especially excel;


A perfect command of French and English is mandatory.
