A leading international player in marine services, our client company offers to the most demanding oil & gas clients worldwide a full line of innovative, safe, high performance and new generation vessels and an expanded offer of offshore oil & gas service.


Duties & Responsibilities

 You will be responsible for all accounting entries of companies or business units..

In order to achieve this, you will:

Manage the general accounting activities of these business units;

Be in charge of the full life circle of AP invoices: receipt, scan, distribution, approval, PO matching, payment copy, archives, etc.;

Be in charge of the full life circle of AR invoices from creation of the back charges, scan, integration in GED / AP module of our client, archives, payment follow up, etc. ;

Accomplish accounting tasks within monthly schedule to meet Group standards and deadlines;

Prepare and book closing accounting entries such as accruals, vessel petty cash;

Support the Chief Accountant in inter companies reconciliation;

Ensure the preparation of financial reporting and apply rules/standards to analyze financial information

Promote and contribute to cross functional and cross organization projects.

The Accountant is linked functionally to the Chief Accountant. 



You have an education in Finance;

You have min 3 years of relevant experience as an AP / AR / GL accountant in a multinational company performing operations linked with foreign currencies transactions; knowledge of Marine Industry and/ or oil and gas industry will be a plus;

You are able to understand group analytical codification and know-how to book transactions accordingly; Accounts payable/ Accounts receivable, closing accounting entries, general accounting and specific accounting;

You are proactive, dynamic and versatile; and you have good listening and communication skills;

You are extremely organized and rigorous and you interact, produce and report with a professional approach at all times;

You are able to work on multiple projects at the same time, prioritize matters and meet deadlines;

You must be willing to work independently and be comfortable working in a multi-cultural environment;

You have an excellent knowledge of MS Office/ Excel skills and Oracle;

A perfect command of French and English is mandatory.
